Farmers typically depend on loans to get by while they wait for their plants to mature for harvesting. Livelihood programs
such as skills development seminars have given farmers, and their wives, an alternate source of income during lean times.
The farmers in this barangay were taught to weave baskets from locally-available materials
they usually ignore and they are matched with traders who buy their handmade products.
